Black Isle Food and Drink Festival 2024

DEMONSTRATIONS

We will have a fabulous line-up of demonstrators for you again this year - a few names you may recognise, alongside some new demonstrators.

Each will showcase different dishes and techniques, as well as offering tasters. We have something very special for the younger generation too.

Join us on Saturday, 24th August to be inspired and entertained.

The first demonstration will start at 12.15pm prompt.

Demonstrations will be held in two locations this year at the Findon Hall and Culbokie Church Centre

Tickets are free but must be booked on the day, arrive early to bag your place.

A donation in lieu of entrance fee would be appreciated.

Thank you to Ark Estates for sponsoring the demonstrations.

Meet the Demonstrators

Saurav Kumar, UHI chef and Professional Cookery lecturer, will be cooking up a storm by creating a dish featuring Wild Red Venison from Forest to Fork, with accompaniments using all local produce.

WoodWinters Wines, (Church Street, Inverness) will offer a wine tasting session, giving context to some of their favourite fine wines.

Honey Delights

Caroline and Barbara from Dingwall and District Beekeepers will show the versatility of honey and demonstrate other bee products.  You are invited to taste local & infused honey, learn how to make beeswax cream and take home a beeswax wrap.

Debbie of The Chocolate Place, will run two workshops for children, teaching them how to roll and decorate their own chocolate truffles, before devouring them of course!

The Cooking Club, will set up two interactive workshops for those who want to help prepare (and taste), Falafel, a Middle Eastern vegetarian dish with a local twist.

Lionel Raguenet of Pro Fish, will create a fresh, colourful and delectable fresh seafood platter.
