Catherine Cottis
Director
Elected 24/02/2025. Catherine was born and raised in Renfrewshire in the village of Elderslie, the purported birthplace of Sir William Wallace. Childhood holidays were always spent in the Northeast of Scotland so, following a thirty-year sojourn to England, Catherine and husband Paul were excited to relocate to the Black Isle following their retirement.
Catherine was a lifelong civil servant with over forty years in HMRC as a tax professional, a senior project and programme manager in the Risk and Intelligence section of HMRC, retiring at Assistant Director level in December 2017.
Along with her husband, her main interests are wildlife photography, wildlife related travel, birdwatching and really anything related to the great outdoors and wildlife. Where better to be to pursue these activities than in Highlands.
Having now lived in Culbokie for three years Catherine has embraced the warmth of the Culbokie people and has been a Community Trust member since arriving in the village. She is also active in the Green Team and a member of the Fundraising Group.
Catherine looks forward to serving the community further as a Community Trust Director.
