Culbokie Active Travel Route
It’s been particularly clear in the last few months, as more people have been walking and cycling, how difficult it is to get around Culbokie without using the main road, and therefore how important it is to make it safer and more attractive for people to walk, cycle, or use disability aids to get around the village.
Towards the end of last year we held a series of consultation events to look at proposals for an Active Travel Route to achieve this, and our consultants have developed their ideas to take account of the feedback they received then, and also the more detailed topographical survey they have commissioned. In a normal year we would have organised another round of consultation events, but these are impossible at present due to Covid-19 restrictions, so we have been working with the consultants to come up with an on-line consultation. We think the presentation gives a good idea of the proposals, but we also realise that some people will prefer to get a chance to speak to the consultants, so we have also organised two online “webinars” where the consultants will present their ideas. There are links to the presentation and the webinars here, and the presentation includes a link to a survey so we can check we’re on the right track – so do please have a look, and let us know your views.
